Staying warm in a swim parka

Brrrrrrrr!!! it is cold out there this week, with temperatures 10-50 degrees below normal in some parts of the country. But one thing does not change and that is swim practice. Swimmers know that coach will not cancel practice just because it is cold out. Even the outdoor pools are still open for dedicated swimmers. Good thing that swimming is a great workout and generates lots of body heat. But what are we to do before and after swim practice? Warm-ups are ok but they can be drafty and sometimes too thin, especially this week when the temperatures are getting close to single digits. The best solution is to wear a swim parka, with it's hood waterproof shell and fleece lining, there is nothing that can beat a great swim parka. I wore my swimming parka last night and kept warm before and after practice. It was great, and some of my friends who did not have a parka were looking more like a Popsicle.
